When you use TOMO, we collect the following types of information:

Account Information: Your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo when you register.

Location Data: Your delivery address, GPS coordinates (when permitted), and city of residence to enable accurate delivery routing.

Order Data: Your order history, items ordered, payment methods used, and delivery addresses.

Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, and app version for technical support and service improvement.

Payment Information: We do not store full card details. Payment processing is handled by Paystack, a PCI-DSS compliant payment provider. We receive only a transaction reference and partial payment details.

Communication Data: Messages you send to TOMO support, reviews you submit, and feedback provided through the app.

2. How We Use Your Data

TOMO uses your data to:

- Process and deliver your orders - Match you with nearby vendors and riders - Send order status updates and notifications - Process payments and issue refunds - Improve our platform, features, and service quality - Detect and prevent fraudulent activity - Comply with legal obligations in Ghana and applicable jurisdictions - Send promotional communications (only with your consent — you can opt out any time)

3. Data Sharing

TOMO does not sell your personal data to third parties. We share data only with:

Riders: Your delivery address and phone number are shared with the assigned rider to complete your delivery.

Vendors: Your order details are shared with the vendor fulfilling your order. Your personal contact information is not shared with vendors.

Payment Processors: Paystack receives your payment details to process transactions securely.

Service Providers: We may use third-party services for analytics, customer support, and infrastructure — all bound by strict data protection agreements.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose data to law enforcement or regulatory authorities when legally required.

4. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously. TOMO implements:

- HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your device and our servers - Encrypted storage for sensitive account information - Role-based access control — only authorised TOMO staff can access your data - Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments - Paystack's PCI-DSS compliant payment processing

Despite our measures, no system is completely secure. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact support immediately at support@tomodelivery.com.

5. Cookies

TOMO uses cookies and similar technologies to:

- Keep you logged in across sessions - Remember your city and delivery preferences - Analyse platform usage patterns to improve performance - Prevent fraudulent activity

You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of the TOMO platform.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

- Access your personal data held by TOMO - Correct inaccurate or outdated information - Delete your account and associated data - Opt out of marketing communications at any time - Data Portability — request a copy of your data in a common format

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial transaction records for tax purposes, retained for 7 years as required under Ghanaian law).
